vegetation mapping

At GCA Forestry UK, we provide detailed vegetation surveys using GPS-enabled drones with integrated measurement tools to accurately map and assess vegetation across forestry sites.

Our surveys identify the location and extent of specific vegetation stands, including rhododendron, gorse, and other understorey species. The drone’s onboard measuring system allows us to assess vegetation density and coverage, while GPS data provides accurate spatial positioning of each stand.

This accurate, measurable data has helped our clients support grant applications, prepare management plans and demonstrate the scale and extent of vegetation issues. Our detailed reports and mapped data also make it easier for clients to prepare works specifications, obtain accurate quotations and send projects out to tender, giving contractors clear information on the location, extent and density of the required work.

By combining drone-based measurement, GPS mapping and vegetation assessment, we provide clear, reliable information that helps our clients make informed decisions and manage forestry projects more efficiently.
